find in word 2003 not working

I recently started using microsoft 2003, and tried to use the find feature.
It appears the window for the find feature flies across the document and
disappears into nowhere. On my old computer I have word 2000 and the find
feature words find. Can you suggest a solution to display the find window on
the document?
 
Please disregard...I have a second monitor and I just noticed it was jumping
over to the other monitor....excuse please.
