If you expect someone to have ideas, perhaps you could include your Outlook
version, the steps you are using, and what is not working as you expected.
We simply cannot read your mind.
If you mean the "type a contact here" window thingy that shows on the
toolbar, right click the contacts folder and set it's properties to be
viewed as an Outlook address book.
