find and replace in master documents Word 2007

Does anyone know if it's possible to do a find and replace across all
subdocuments in a master document? IT is telling me no, but they aren't
actually masters of Microsoft, so I thought I'd ask the real masters...

Thank you for the response. I got pulled away by other projects and have
just gotten back to this one. (So much work. So little time.)
