Filter by form in linked table database

Before splitting an Access database, the filter by form functionality worked
for all fields on a form. After the separation of the data from the
forms/code only the combo box fields displayed valid choices (from value
lists or queries) when the filter by form button was clicked. All other
fields display 'Is Null' and 'Not Is Null' as the only choices. How to I
reconnect the filtering function in the new split database?

kahunadude,

Well, splitting a database does not *break* it so something else must be
going on. The first thing I would suggest you is Refresh the linked table.
If that doesn't work please report back with a wee bit more informaton...

a. Access version
b. Are you using the filter by form on the toolbar OR do you have some code
you are using?
c. Are the combo boxes pulling values from tables?
d. Do the other fields on the form except data?

"Is Null" and "Is Not Null" are all you see when there are more distinct
values in the field then the limit set in "Edit/Find Options". The
default value is 1000
