I do not have the filmstrip option when clicking view in
picture files. Where is it or what happened?
 
The folder containing the pictures must be customized (view -> customize this folder) to a
'Pictures' or 'Photo Album' type folder before the filmstrip view option will be available.

In View, Customise folder, and use either Pictures or Photo Album (I
don't see any appreciable difference between them).
