Fill shape with data

Robert H

Is it possible to fill an excel shape, circle, rectangle, autoshape
etc. with data from a cell or a name. I mean for it to actualy read
and display the data not just paste in as text. I cant see anything
so far but maybe that is a "trick"
Thanks

Select your rectangle (say)
and type this in the formula bar:
=A1

Now type something in A1.
