Fill Pictures to Audio Length

I

Ian

I am using MM 2.0 to create slide shows with music.

If I select a piece of music that is say 3 minutes long, and drag it into
the storyboard, and have and opening credit, closing credit and 20 photos
with transitions, is there a way to get the visual portion to fill the time
frame, i.e. 3 minutes?
Right now I have to do it manually lengthening each picture's showtime.

Ian, if you go to the top and click on 'tools' and then on 'options'.....
click on the advanced tab, and you will see that you can pick the
number of seconds that each photo shows and the length of any
transitions you apply. Generally, I think you subtract the transition
length from the photo length.....i.e. 7 seconds picture duration less
2 second transition equals 5 seconds... that wouldn't quite get to
your total of 20 pics and opening and closing credits. Say for example,
your credits would be the equal of 2 pics plus your 20 pics or approx.
22 pic time necessary. For a 3 minute song (180 seconds).... a net
of 8 seconds per pic times 22 pics equals 176 seconds....pretty close.
Then just right click on your audio in the timeline, and choose 'fade out'
....and the last 4 seconds of music at the end will fit very good.

For using exact duration in these fields see my hack:
