Filesharing with hardware VPN firewalls?

Helo,

I have 2 LAN sites, each has around 15 computers with Windows XP Home on
them, connected by VPN. An IPSeC VPN tunnelling to be exact. They're
connected using D-Link DFL-1100 and DFL-700. Connectivy serves the DFL's to
be the VPN server, bridging the modem and the computers.

Each computers on one LAN site is in the same workgroup, but with different
Workgroup names between the sites. All computers in site A is in workgroup
MDCUA, computers in site B is in workgroup MDCUB.

VPN connectivity is confirmed as I can ping any computers in any site, even
telnet. However, VNC and Remote Desktop features need a few port mapping
rules on the VPN firewalls, then it would work.

Problem:
Filesharing is limited to the LAN site. Sharing file/folders/printers is
doable in the local network, but not through VPN. Changing the workgroup name
of the 2 sites to be the same didn't help. According to D-link techsupport,
this setup should enable filesharing. Microsoft Windows Network shows only 1
workgroup.

Question:
What port do I need to open to enable filesharing? Any port mapping? Is it
possible at all to use filesharing with WinXP Home through VPN?

It is not a port that is required but the NetBIOS service to be enabled on
both VPN units.
