I've read lots about this and know about paging files, system files, files
in use etc.
The reason I defragmented was to try to improve the performance of a game as
suggested in the game's forum. To be on the safe side, I defragmented in
Safe Mode but wouldn't you know it, the only thing that wouldn't defragment
was the game's folder. All 958MB of it.
So, it's not a page or system file and it's not being accessed. Why then,
can't I defragment the game folder?
WinXP Pro SP2, XP Disk Defragmenter
Thanks.
