I recently did a format reinstall due to a motherboard upgrade. My
original install was XP Pro OEM from work but I changed the new install
to one of my retail copies. I ran FASTWIZ before the format choosing
settings only which usually takes care of my needs. Only this time I do
not have all my saved mail as I did on previous installs that I used
FASTWIZ on, using the same exact settings.
Is there a way to extract the files in the DAT file created by FASTWIZ?

The .DAT file within the USMT2.UNC folder should be named IMG00001.DAT
There should also be a file named "status". If you have these two files within
the USMT2.UNC folder, you should only browse to the USMT2.UNC folder
when using the wizard.

You need to browse to the location of the "USMT2.UNC" folder.
For example, my location is: D:\Old Computer Files\Transfers\USMT2.UNC

I need to actually open the file that contains my files and get some info
that is not being imported. On previous installs and transfers at work I was
able to retrieve my emails by using FASTWIZ but this time it did not
transfer them for me.

No one knows how to do this?
