Files and settings wizzard fails to complete

Please help me!!!

My wifes laptop needed a clean down and re-installation. So I used the
FASTWIZ to move the files and settings to external HD. Re-formmatted
the C:, reinstalled XP plus all the apps then ran the FASTWIZ to
transfer them back.
When specifying the folder that the dat folder USMT2.UNC, the wizzard
refuses to acknowledge the data in the folder. So I re-ran the wizzard
to create a new backup into a different folder based on the new
formatted XP drive. It had exactly the same name and transferred
itself back without a problem.
So I then copied the original dat file from the first back-up into
that folder. It now started to back up the data but after about 10% of
the progress it failed with the message "Cannot complete the transfer"
and then went on about HHD space. I have more capacity than before.

Getting desperate with this one.Wife's going to kill me :-((

My guess would be you are having Permissions problems. "Take Ownership" of
the Fast Wiz file.
