Files not showing up in sent folder

Using Outlook 2000 and Windows XP Home, all of a sudden messages (which have
actually been sent) are not showing up the the sent folder. I have reset the
option to save files to the sent folder to no avail. Any suggestions?
 
Recheck your View settings in the Sent folder. Perhaps the setting has
changed from All messages.

View setting for the Sent folder is set to "Sent To". I have also tried
"Messages" with no change.
 
Check to see how your Sent Items are sorted. They may inadvertently be sorted
by date or even subject. If they're sorted by date, check to make sure it's
in descending order so that you see the most recent at the top of your Sent
Items folder.
 
They are set to descending date order (latest on top), but nothing is
apprearing.
