files do not show up in recyle bin when deleted

When I delete something from my computer, the files don't
appear in the recyle bin after deleted. I've checked the
properties of the recycle bin and made sure that the
files weren't being deleted completely. The task is not
selected to delete files permanently; files are to be
deposited into the recycle bin but when I delete
something they don't appear in bin. Any suggestions.

Hi,

This seems to work for many: Make sure that something is in the Recycle Bin
(delete any file). With the Recycle Bin closed, right click and choose:
Empty Recycle Bin. When the confirm box appears, click ok. Reboot. Now the
Recycle Bin should work correctly.
