I am having wired problem in Vista Ultimate. Somehow files installed by some
applications including Zune software files installed in windows system32
directory and others program files (SQL server for example) disappear. I an
running Vista ultimate with all latest updates. Firewall enabled. No Virus.

Are you a victim of compatibility files?

Are your files here?:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore

I do have virtualStore directory but none of the deleted files are there. I
have some files that are from my older installations that are not compatible
with Vista.
