Files are copied to local "Nethood" folder instead of remote shared folder under "My Network place"

I linked to a remoted shared folder in a LAN and put the link under "My network places".

When I drag now files (in WinExplorer) from local directories onto this link I expected that
this would copy the files to the remote machine.

Much to my surprise it is copied to a local folder

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\NetHood\remoteFolder

Why ?

It must work somehow since I remember times when this operation was working successfully.
But since a few days it does not work any longer.

Which settings did I unintentionally changed ?

No need to "put link" into MNP, just create the share and it will be
visable in MNP
