Files and transfer wizard problem

I want to transfer files from my old Windows ME computer to my new XP
computer. The files and transfer wizard prompts me to make a "Wizard Disk."
However, this new Dell computer did not come with an XP disk or a floppy
disk. How can I make a "Wizard Disk"?

Your new computer does not have a 3.5 inch diskette drive?

Try this. I am not sure that it will work. My computer has an A:
drive so I cannot test it.

1. Open a DOS command prompt window (Start - Run - CMD)

2. Enter the following commands:

MD C:\Wizard
SUBST A: C:\Wizard

3. Leave the command prompt window open and try running FASTW again.
If we are lucky the SUBST command will work and the files for the disk
will be saved into the C:\Wizard folder. You can then burn these
files onto a CD, and then use the CD to run the program on your old
computer.

Good luck

First priority would be to contact Dell and get a CD with the XP files.
You will need that many times in the days ahead, not just for the FAST
wizard.
