File will not transfer/copy/move

I have a Visual Foxpro Application that reads a text file and stores the
data in a table.
The text file is created using a PDT (Portable Data Terminal). I use the
software that came with the PDT to drag the text file from a PDT window to a
folder called c:\mobile. It works great on my test computers (both are
Windows XP Home Edition....arghhh don't ask why!). Anyway on my client
computer, which is a Windows XP Professional, I cannot drag the file. I can
only drag it to the Recylce Bin. I think I have checked properly any rights
for the c:\mobile folder and they are set to "read, write, etc....all rights
are check". However, windows will not allow me to drag the file. What
setting am I missing?
Thanks, John.

have you tried to create a file in the c:\mobile directory to prove you
have the rights really? It does sound like permissions to the dir so I
would prove that angle first

Yes, I saved a wordpad file in that folder. Any other ideas? Could it be
something in the software that came with the PDT? I do not see any settings
that would make a difference.
