file will not open

When I double click on a word document in My Documents,
the file does not open. I can open the file through
Word. Is there something wrong with my setup?

Hi,

Try this: Left click the file once, then hold the <shift> key down and right
click it. Choose "open with" from the menu, then select MSWord from the
program menu. Make sure the box to associate this file with the program is
checked, then click "ok". See if that helps.

Right-click the file, select "Open with" and then use the list of
applications to re-associate Word to DOC extensions. If Word is not
listed, use the "Browse" button to find the WINWORD.EXE file on your
HDD. Make sure that the "Always use..." option is ticked and leave the
dialog box with "OK".
