File sizes don't add up

I'm thinking about changing some of my disk partions and started exploring
some folder sizers etc. I checked the 'properties' on the
'C:\Documents&Settings\'username' folder and it gives me 191MB in 6400 files
in 292 folders. That didn't seem right as my actual user data files are
stored on another disk partion, so I did some checking.

First I made sure that in the folder view options showed me hidden files &
system folders etc. to make sure I was getting the whole picture. Then I
checked the 'properties' on each 'subfolder' and including the 'root' folder
(above) and added them up. The result is a little more than a tenth of what
the system reported. I double checked to make sure I wasn't over looking a
decimal point somewhere and make sure it was all MG and not KB or GB.

What gives? Where are these 191MB in 6400 files? I can't find them even
after a cold boot and recheck.

Nope. I have included them by making sure the view option for the folders
include system/hidden files. They do account for more of the files, but not
even close to all of them.

Another thing I just discovered is that when I view 'system Information' it
is reporting to me that I have twice the amount of physical memory that is
actually in the machine. Go figure. Maybe this box just can't do math in
general?!?
