File Size

I have an excel file which contains 150 columns by 1000 rows. Each of the
cell has a value. Then there are 4 other sheets with similar number of rows
and columns and contains formulas linked to other sheets. The file size has
become a humungous 20 MB!! Not only this file but any other excel file
operates very slowly (macros run very slow). is there a way to reduce the
file size?
