my source pc is using w98SE.i shared a folder wif password
full access. i was unable to view what files inside the
folder in my winXP pro.why ? FYI, i was in my office
network with domain.
thanks!

1) Is the Win98 machine registered in the DNS server for
the domain?

2) Can you see the Win98 machine in My Network Places (is
NetBIOS enabled over TCP/IP)? Can you ping the Win98
machine from a WinXP machine?

3) Does the Win98 machine logon to the domain server?
Does the network use Active Directory?

4) What happens when you try to view files in the shared
folder? How are you trying to do it? I.e., "unable to
view files" is a bit too vague for us to understand your
problem.

More info, please.
