Ok... over the last few days I have see this issue. I am making new shares on
a peer to peer network and when I go to clear the Read Only Attribute and
click apply it clears. When I open it back up the Read Only is selected
again. End user has Admin rights on the local PC....
This is causing a big issue with a DB Share..

Please Help

Thanks

If you are refering to the "Read-only" grey-checked on "folders", that
isn't the problem. That box has no bearing on your "problem". The issue
is likely some setting in security, permissions, and user accounts. If
its only in the DB share, then you may want to look at the security
settings in the database itself.

I'm not exactly sure if this will work, but give it a try

Right-click what ever it is your trying to share and click on sharing in the
menu that comes up. Then check out the check-box where it says {Allow
Network users to change my files}. I believe this MIGHT be different for XP
Pro. For XP Pro i think you do the same thing except you need to change the
permissions for the EVERYONE user to full access (or whatever does you well)

I'm not exactly sure what you mean about the END USER has admin rights on
the local PC, but i hope this solves your problem
