I have 6 computers wich I have upgraded from Win 98/SE to Win XP. I used to be able to find files fast thru the network, however with XP it is extreamly SLOW!!! The only sharing I use is for WordPerfect. So files are stored on one system and accessed by all the others. It there any setting I am missing which would speed up the "find" process? The computers already have mapped drives to the system holding all the files. I am stumped! Please help. Thanks!

Why is XP running slower 2

If the resolution of "Why is XP running slower while logon 1" doesn't fix
the slower issue. and if other Operation Systems including w2k don't have
the same issue, you may check the hardware settings, for example, configure
all of the computers' network cards for half duplex. Most Hubs don't
support full duplex.
