File Sharing Problem -- XP SP2

Hi All,
Other machines on my home network are unable to access/share files on a
particular XP SP2 host -- they cannot even ping the machine.

The target/host computer otherwise works just fine (it can reach everything,
pings other devices on same subnet fine, reaches internet fine).

Might be worth pointing out I have tried to entirely disable windows
firewall and that does not seem to change the symptom.

Any advice?

Thought I could clarify a few things -- it is XP Home on all machines. The
host can successfully ping itself by IP and/or name, and can successfully
ping the other devices on the network by IP or name. Its issue seems to be
that it does not make itself available to the other machines on the network
(it has been used as a server before, something has changed).

-- Problem "Solved" -- or more accurately, one of my machine gun fixes solved
the problem. Most likely the un-install of a Cisco VPN client which was not
being used nor was it loaded. Cisco Sucks.

Thanks for looking.
