File Sharing problem in a multiple router office with a peer to pe

I’m unable to get bidirectional file & print sharing between a main router
and sub routers on a peer to peer network.

Our office is using 3 Linksys routers to separate 2 lawyers who use a shared
network printer/scanner. Router #1 us being used as the main router and is
connected to the internet. Routers 2 & 3 are connected to the main router
switch and are assigned static WAN IP address. Router 2 is used for one
lawyer and staff and router 3 is used for the other lawyer and staff. I have
setup two static routes on the main #1 router. That allowed me to ping the
printer/scanner or any computer attached to the main router from computers
behind routers 2 & 3. However I’m unable to ping the other way from a
computer on router 1 to a computer behind routers 2 or 3. If I disable WAN
blocking on routers 2 & 3 I can ping the gateway on routers 2 & 3 from router
1 but I can’t ping any computer or network printer connected to routers 2 or
3 from router 1. I have disabled all computer firewalls and even started
them in safe mode with networking. It sure seems like something in one of
the routers is blocking bidirectional file sharing. Turning off the firewall
on routers 2 & 3 didn’t help either.

Router 1 info: BEFSR41
WAN: Internet IP

LAN: Gateway: 192.168.5.1

Router 2 info: RVS4000

Gateway: 192.168.5.1

LAN: Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
DHCP on: 192.168.0.2 to 52 With MAC address reserved for one computer at
192.168.0.3

Router 3 info: WRT54G
WAN: Static: 192.168.5.3
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.5.1

LAN: Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
DHCP on: 192.168.1.100 to 150 With 2 computers set to static IP’s
192.168.1.49 and 192.168.1.51

MANY, many thanks to anyone who can help solve this.

A special thanks to Steve Winograd who got me this far.

Jack \(MVP-Networking\).

When you multiple Router like this you create separate Networks. It is Not
possible to do two way sharing under such topology using Entry Level
Hardware.
Look at this page it explains a little more about this type of topology,

Thanks Jack, I don't doubt you because I have not been able to make it work.
I'm finding computers do the most illogical things. Such as allowing me to
print and ping the other subnet gateway but not allow me to access computers
on that gateway.

What type of above entry level hardware would I need if I wanted to attempt
to make something like this work? I'm I just looking at a $500 router with
more features or is there more to it like having a server and domain
controller?
