I set up a wireless home network: Linksys Wireless-G Router, Desktop Computer
(ethernet to router), Notebook (wireless), both XP Home. I can access the
internet from the notebook , and the notebook can print on the printer hooked
to the desktop. I can see the notebook from the desktop under "View
Workgroup" computers, but cannot access the notebook - error message "Network
Path Not Found". Pinging the notebook brings no results.

From the laptop, I can see the desktop, but cannot access - error message
"Access is denied". I can successfully ping the desktop.

Any suggestions?

Are they any firewalls, including the windows firewall enabled on either of
the two computers?

Maybe you can have better luck here

Is your WAP broadcasting dhcp? I had exactly the same problem until I gave
each machine a static IP address.....

I am a bit of a newbie for networking. How can I tell if my WAP (not sure
what that stands for) is broadscasting dhcp? When I run an ipconfig/all, it
does list a DHCP server at 192.168.1.1

Thanks

WAP= Wireless Access Point......
What may be happening is that the WAP is giving a different range of IP
addresses to the laptop compared to the wired desktop. Go into the Network
Card properties on each machine and see if the IP addresses are in the same
range......
