File sharing between a domain & workgroup?

Wondering if its at all possible to share printers and
folders from a WINXP machine in a workgroup, and another
on a domain via a VPN. Static IP's via Linksys DSL
Router.

Reddot VPN File and printer sharing
HEGIS Protocol Netbui
WLAN Transport Microsoft TCP/IP Version 6
File & Printer sharing NWLink Bios
TCP/IP NWLink IPX/SPX
TCP/IP
VPN Domain (Reddot) Home Workgroup

I can locate the PC by IP, but get a message along the
lines of "No logon services are available".

First you have to have routing and remote access running on the server, next
you have to have the computer and the user registered in active directory on
the server with a password. You next have to have PPTP and IPsec enabled on
the router. You also must have the same security settings on both client and
server to make the connection.
