file shareing

I am trying to share a drive on a W2K machine with 98 SE machines. I
have the drive shared and have setup the group Everyone with Read &
Create rights. I have two people in the Admin group which has full
control They work great.
Problem is the Everyone group. They can dwell down into the folder
but cannot access any file within that folder - get's access denied
errors.

Why? Any help would be appreciated.

was the folder populated prior to sharing?

you may need to apply the folder rights to the contents of the folder.
