File/Send not working

Double two things.

1) You have installed such feature.

2) If you have firewall installed, double check settings.

I have a new install on an XP Pro box of Access 97 plus Office XP. When
previewing a report in Access if I do File/Send I get a dialog box with
error: Access can't open the mail session...

I find only one KB article about Acc 97 on Win 98. I searched the entire
Registry for mapidll and find no entries. Other PCs are configured like
this one (dual version Access install) and they work fine. On this new PC I
went into Word 2002 and can do a File/Send To just fine.

Outlook Express in the default mail client.
