File Security Question

Does copying a file to a hard drive then cutting and pasting it in the
Windows (W2K) clipboard to another drive leave traces of that file on
the first drive the same as would be left behind if the file had been
deleted from the first drive instead?

Yes, cut and paste is no different than copy and delete.
