My computer has just stopped being able to locate a file by using the "search
for" in Outlook Express or in Word,"Open". Probably the same in anything else
that you can do a search within.
The boxes are there, however before, if you typed the first letter of the
file you were looking for, it used to pop open a box listing all the files in
that folder beginning with that letter. Typing the second letter really
narrowed down the search. The same would happen in Word using the "Open" icon
then selecting the folder to look in. It now just gives the first file it
comes to with that initial letter. Using the scroll down arrow does not
reveal any other files in that folder of the same initial letter.
Any thoughts?? WIn XP sp2, Office XP, all current updates installed.
Thank you in anticipation.
