Hi,
Mom's got XP Home on her computer and whenever you try to
search for a file on her computer, the search screen
starts to load, but none of the search options or other
stuff in the left side menu show up, so you can't search
for anything.
I've tried re-installing XP but the problem persists.
Does anybody know what to do about this. I suspect a file
has become corrupted, but which one?
Thanks,
O2

Paul, that edit of Doug's is for the yellow exclamation point given when
trying to use Search caused by TweakUI.

If this is the case:

Option 1. Depending on your version of TweakUI, run it, go to the Desktop
settings and put the check mark back in Search Results.

Option 2: Apply this edit:

Search Shows Yellow Triangle with ! (Line 75)

To use the VBS File: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you
may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double-click
the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done.
