file saved window

1. The operating system of my last computer was Windows
95.

2. When I saved a Microsoft Works spreadsheet in Windows
95 the specific window I was viewing was automatically
displayed when I subsequently re-opened the file. In
other words if I clicked cell A267 when saving the file,
cell A267 would be in the upper left-hand corner of the
window displayed when I later re-opened the file.

3. With Windows XP, however, the file, when re-opened
displays the window with cell A1 in the upper left-hand
corner of the window regardless of which cell was in the
upper left-hand corner of the window when the file was
last saved.

4. This requires me to scroll down to the row where my
data was last saved (i.e. row 267).

5. How can I fix this so that the file, when re-opened,
automatically displays the window last saved in that file
so that I don't have to scroll down to find my last entry?

I do not think that this is related to Windows, it may be a setting in
Works that has to re-applies after the reinstallation on the new OS.
Go to news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.works.win for help
with Works.
