file saved from email

When someone mails me a web page and I save it a line is
added to the top of the page saying
<!-- saved from url=(0022)http://internet.e-mail -->
and when the page is opened in the folder I save it to
the links will not work. If I remove that line, they
do. Anyone know why?
 
Just remove the line, as it is not needed, it is just a reference to where the file cam from.
