File Required for Search Companion

I am still trying to resolve this problem. Does anybody
out there have a solution for correcting the search
function that is apparently missing some file. I have
tried all of Doug Knox's fixes, but none of them work.
Also the suggestions offered in the Microsoft Knowledge
Base article do not correct the problem either. Since I
have already installed Service Pack 1 I can't use the
quick fix and reinstalling the sycasset does not work
either.

This should not be that difficult a problem to correct.
If anybody has had the problem and figured out the
solution please reply. Thanks.

I have an OEM computer and I do not believe I have the Windows XP CD.
