File properties dialog box

Not even sure if this is what it is called, I am no longer able to right
click on a file to bring up a dialog box, also if I click on an object then
go to file then properties nothing comes up. Tried disabling Norton that did
not help, not the mouse because all the buttons work for other applications.

It reads like malware to me. But try these:

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

I don't believe this involves the mouse, I can not get a properties dialog
box to open under any circumstances - right or left click - even from the
file pull down menu, clicking enter on the keyboard after properties is
selected.

Does this happens only with a file or folder .. or can you right click on
desktop

I don't believe it involves the mouse either. The right-click, similar
to the Context menu key on the keyboard is merely a way to get to the menu.

If the above helps with the context menu handlers, and not the
Properties, you'll only have one more thing to get fixed.
