I want to take the my music file from my documents because it is huge with
itunes and prevents me from easily backing up my documents to disc. What is
the best way to do this? I would like to create a duplicate file to transfer
all the music but where should I put it. I don't want to risk losing my music
because of a mistake. Thankk you very much

To be safe, first create and name a new folder and put it where known and
not affecting your backups. Then select either all or part of the wanted
music, copy, then paste in newv folder. Once satisfied that you have
successfully transferred the music, you can delete the music in the My Music
folder and leave it alone; It is a system folder apparently and should be
kept. You can also burn a CD of the tunes.
I have successfully done this with other kinds of work on my computer.

also, you will need to go to your settings in applications that use/store
your music and point them to that folder as default instead of "my music"
