file on desktop

Hi

I am running win2k pro and I noticed an icon on my desktop with the filename
~. I deleted it but it has come back. Any ideas what it could be please.

May be save a file on your Desktop, dont save any (your)
file(s) on Desktop.

That is a bug form an Internet Explorer/Outlook Express update. I have it on some of
my computers also. I am not sure if they have resolved it yet. You may want to post
in an Internet Explorer newsgroup and check that you are current with critical
updates at Windows Update. --- Steve
