File names just disappeared under thumbnails view!

Hi guys/gals

Would greatly appreciate it if you can help me fix this pesky issue.

Did'nt install anything new, or make any changes, just restarted the PC
today andnoticed my windows explorer windows are all crazy.

When I choose Thumbnails view, the file names all disappear! It just
shows the thumbnail, with no filename. Really annoying, anyone know a
fix?

Thanks in advance.

PS: OS is XP Pro SP2 with all updates.

See Tip #2 here

To turn off filenames, hold down the Shift key when you click to open a
folder in Windows Explorer or when you switch into thumbnail view. This will
turn of the file names, giving more space for the thumbnails. Doing it again
turns them back on.

This is the by design behavior.

Thumbnails can be displayed with or without the file name. To see this,
select View and something other than Thumbnails. Next press and hold the
Shift key and select View/Thumbnails. Repeat the same steps to show the file
names.
