File Names Automatically Changed to All Caps (How can I avoid this?)

B

Hello,

Most of the file names of the web files I created using
FrontPage automatically become all uppercase. I tried to
change them back to all lowercase, but after I did so,
they reappeared all uppercase. (Surprisingly enough, a
small number of the file names do appear as lowercase. I
tried to change one of them to all caps, just to test, but
it changed back to lowercase again).

The problem is that our IT person needs the file names all
in lowercase in order to put them on our school's website.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for you help.

If you try to change FILENAME to filename it won't work because your
computer sees them as the same word. What I've found is reasonably quick is
to highlight them right click/ rename when they open for renaming I just
delete the first letter so I've got ILENAME and hit enter. then right click
and rename it to filename.

Why they're changing to all caps on their own is another thing.

It is amazing the Pennsylvania friends of Benjamin Franklin are so
creative - Why didn't I think of that...?

thanks. I came up with it when I was publishing to a UNIX server (which
really take case sensitivity seriously).
