File name too long and cannot open in Microsoft Word

I have a file name I think that exceeds over 255 chars. I
cannot open it in Word, Notepad, or Wordpad. The error
message is: Document is too long, Please try using Map
Network Drive Command to select the server to shorten the
path. Is there a way to fix this and be able to recover
the information in the document. Thanks

Open Windows Explorer, browse to the folder where this file resides,
right-click on it, select "Rename", and give it a reasonable length file
name. When done, press ENTER, then double-click on the file name to see if
it opens (remember to leave the extension ".doc" in the file name).

I remember experiencing this issue back in the days
I have downloaded Long Path Tool it works like a charm and it certainly helped me a lot..
