file name colors

I am runinng xp pro. Can you change windows explorer file
names from the default color of black to any other color.

You'll change the colour of all text by Start - Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced and change the colour for Window.

You can change the desktop icon colour by a/ having transparent labels off and b/ set the background to a dark colour for white text and to a light colour for dark text. It is always white if transparent.

You can also set the colours on a folder by folder basis. Easyist way is to use this program
