File lSize Changing

Is it possible for the size of a file to change when being copied to another
folder/server? This ranges from 1-15 KB in size, mostly increasing. The
files were not 'saved as' nor was the version changed. If this is a
potential 'glitch', then so be it. It's better than going through 50
documents word for word. My IT department has never heard of this happening.
Anyone out there have any ideas?

Hi D.,

In Windows explorer, right click on the file in both locations and look at the properties. Is the 'size' (in bytes in parentheses'
of the file changed, or just the 'size on disk'? It's possible for a change of the latter to appear based on differing sector sizes
[the smallest 'chunk' of disk space that is allocated at a time to a file] between different disk drives or disk file systems, or if
compression is active in one location but not another.

Hi Bob,

You had me so hopeful. However, neither of your suggestions apply. Both
have different file/disk sizes (checked the bytes in paren. also). Thought
for sure it was the compression issue, but not. Any other suggestions? I
sincerely appreciate your effots.

Thanks.
