file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows appl

I am trying tom install a software and I receive this message

C:\WIN05\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications

Have a look for that file in the location specified, I suspect it will be
missing. If it is missing go to C:\win05\repair and copy the file from there
into C:\win05\system32, then try again.
