Has anyone found a way to delete a file that is supposedly "locked for editing" by the only user on the computer? This usually seems to happen after a "page error" hangs the pc, and then the file (and its directory.... oops sorry "folder") can't be deleted - even in DOS

I'm using Excel 200 under Win 98
Thank
Kev

exit excel

go to the temp directory and delete all files there

This should free it up.
