Thanks for the reply Steve. One more question (I hope).
Why is it that when I allow inheritable permissions from
the parent to propagate to the object, I can be 10 or 20
folders in deep and although all the folders have the
same permissions, some but not ALL the files in the
folder have the correct permissions. Some have no
permissions. I have to take ownership of that particular
file, add one user or group, then all the permissions are
added at once that should have propagated in the first
place. Any clue? Thanks again.

Hmm. I have never experienced that so I really do not know what the problem is. There
is also a win2000.file_system newsgroup where you may want to post that one. ---
