File Folder Options

Somehow, I managed to change my File Folder options so that the only
choice of action available is "FIND". That is, when I doubleclick a
file, instead of opening, as I want it to, the search program comes
up.

I can't delete "FIND" from the advanced properties of folder options,
nor can I edit the possibilities.

This is extremely annoying, and there is no answer available through
the help center (It's a Dell!).

Could someone please tell me how I can make a file open by
doubleclicking it, instead of calling up the search function?
