File Extension

I download an .exe file yet when I click on it to open it, it has changed
from a .exe file to a zip.file? This seems to happen to all .exe files! what
is happening?

You asked this question before too and got answers. If you can't see
the posts search for them using google groups and the name you posted
them with.
 
I couldn';t find the posts which why I reposted. my apologies. I will search
for the answers.

Don’t you remember? You just explained this to me seconds ago! Upon
execution of any executable file it renames it’s self to a zip file.

By any chance did you assosiate the file extension .exe with and
program?
 
When you click on a exe file it automatically changes to a zip file? Try
this. Go to C:\Windows and click on notepad.exe. Tell me if it changes to
notepad.zip.
