File Explorer Shutdown

Windows File Explorer spontaneously shuts down, even
while not interacting with the program itself. Window
closes without error message. Launches properly again
but closes down intermittently thereafter.

Windows XP Pro, SP2, fully patched.

Help?

There is NO SP2 for Windows XP Pro!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
