When I attempt to download a file off the internet, I no
longer get the pop up window "File Download" that gives
me the option to open, save, etc.. as soon as I click a
link for a download the file is automatically downloaded
and put somewhere in my temporary internet files.

I had this window up until a few weeks ago when it no
longer appeared.

How do I, or what do I need to do to get this window back
so I can select where to send the download.

Any help in fixing this problem would be greatly
appreciated.

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Check the box for "Confirm open after download".

.
I'm using IE 6, not MSN explorer, and there is no folder
options in the tool pull down window

You get to the Folders Options by opening Windows Explorer, not Internet
Explorer. Just click on My Computer.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for the misunderstanding on how
to get to file types. Everything is working fine now.
Thanks again to all.
